Audit Data Analytics Assistant Manager
I am partnered with a mid tier firm to recruit a Data analytics assistant manager. My client utilise an agile delivery model, enabling their teams to be involved in different projects and audit analytics delivery including data migration, governance, data analytics, advanced (AI-ML) analytics, platform development and robotic process automation (RPA) services.
Job purpose
As an Assistant Data Manager, you will be supporting in developing audit analytics tools and re-performable audit analytics across the UK Business to support the audit team to provide a high quality, robust and efficient audit. Leading and developing more junior members of the team.
The purpose of the position is to fundamentally unlock insights contained in data and create solutions to challenges related to the delivery of external audit.
My client now operating a hybrid working model, so as an Assistant Data Manager you will split your time working at your base office, client sites when required.
Work closely with key stakeholders in audit and the centre of excellence team to design and develop tools;
Ensuring all stakeholders are kept fully informed of any issues arising and the progress of the work;
Work independently and follow best practices for application development;
Delivering work to the highest technical standards including ensuring work is conducted in line with the companies Quality standards;
Ensuring all work is undertaken to budget and meets the KPIs;
Building and developing long term relationships with senior stakeholders across the firm;
Maintaining control and stability under pressure whilst recognising the deadline or urgency to be dealt with;
Work within a team to innovate and develop new data driven solutions to solve critical challenges and data puzzles;
Provide support to the wider audit team for deployed data analytics solutions
Supporting with audit proposals and pitches;
Work with various audited entities, building a strong understanding of their business or organisation;
Learn how to prepare professional audit documents in line with our audit methodology using audit software and systems; and
Develop a thorough understanding of financial statements.
The person
2-4 years-experience using R, Python, Alteryx, Microsoft Azure, databases and querying using SQL, data visualisation tools such as PowerBI and the Microsoft Power Platform in consultancy environment.
