McCarthy Stone is the UK’s leading retirement living provider. We are recruiting a permanent House Manager to join the team at our Clarence Court development in Horsham, West Sussex.
Hours: 15 hours per week - Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
Hourly rate: £13.77 per hour

About the Role of a House Manager
We seek a customer-centric House Manager to uphold our high standards of customer service. The role aims to enhance homeowners' quality of life and support their independence. It involves high-level customer service, front-of-house duties, and facilities management. The successful candidate will foster a strong community through event coordination and regular meetings to update residents and address their priorities.
Some duties include:
* Welcoming new homeowners and supporting their settling-in process.
* Providing professional front-of-house service and managing visitor interactions.
* Being the primary contact for homeowners, offering support and advice.
* Collaborating with partners and suppliers for smooth estate operations.
* Representing McCarthy Stone to families and friends of homeowners.
* Handling homeowner issues with sensitivity, respecting confidentiality and privacy.
* Managing gardens and grounds to ensure a safe, secure, and pleasant environment.
* Facilitating social activities to enrich retirement living.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key competencies include:
* Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude.
* Extensive experience in customer service roles.
* Professional approach and high standards.
* Ability to thrive in a varied, busy environment.
* Resilience and effective problem-solving skills.
* Basic health and safety awareness (advantageous).
* Good computer literacy, including Word and Outlook.
* First aid qualifications are a plus but training will be provided.
