Skilled Machinist
Location: Bradford, BD4
Hours: Full Time on a rotating shift pattern
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 + generous shift premium
Contract Type: Permanent
About the Role:
A well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking a Skilled Machinist to join their production team. This hands-on role involves setting and operating production equipment in a controlled factory environment, with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Set and operate machine tools accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
Report tooling issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the work area in line with 5S and TPM standards.
Support quality and manufacturing teams in reducing scrap and improving performance.
Mentor apprentices and contribute to their development.
Uphold health & safety standards and respond to issues proactively.
Compliance with internal risk management and equality policies.
What We’re Looking For:
Engineering apprenticeship trained to national standard (or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years’ machining experience (CNC preferred).
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to train and support others.
Positive attitude and professional work ethic.
