We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school for autistic pupils in Merton, starting ASAP.
This is a full-time, short-term role for 2 weeks, with the possibility of extension. The role is offered via an agency and is based within a supportive specialist school environment.
The position involves teaching a KS4 class (Year 10 / 11) on a semi-formal pathway. Pupils have a range of complex needs, with most being autistic and working at early developmental levels.
You will be:

Teaching a KS4 class within a specialist SEN setting

Supporting autistic pupils with complex learning needs

Delivering learning within a semi-formal pathway
*
Planning and delivering structured lessons appropriate to pupils’ developmental levels
*
Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
*
Working collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team
The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching autistic pupils, ideally within a specialist or semi-formal setting. An enhanced Child and Adult DBS, availability to work five days per week, and the ability to start immediately are essential.
