Job Opportunity: Quality Matron
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work across both Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust as a Quality Matron. Reporting to the Head of Nursing Quality, you will collaborate across both organisations to ensure that quality and safety are central to providing high-quality patient care and experience.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Defining, scoping, planning, managing, and delivering nursing and midwifery quality improvement activities with clear project management structures and outcome measures.
2. Ensuring systems and processes are in place to consistently deliver fundamental care across all settings within both Trusts.
3. Leading the implementation and delivery of quality and safety monitoring approaches and accreditation programmes for clinical areas.
4. Providing advice, guidance, and support to Ward/Department teams on quality and safety issues.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent nursing or midwifery leader, highly visible in clinical areas, and experienced in delivering quality improvements. A proven track record of achieving outcomes that benefit patients and a strong focus on patient and staff experience are essential.
This role suits a highly experienced senior nurse or midwife with demonstrable experience in quality and safety improvements. You will be supported to utilise your skills, grow as a leader, and meet your future aspirations.
