Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Eccles to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional to make a meaningful impact in a UK secondary school setting.
Please note: Only applicants with prior experience working in schools or education settings will be considered for this role.
The Role
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils in the classroom, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
Providing targeted support to students who require additional help to access the curriculum
Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion
Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs in line with school policies
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
Previous experience working in UK schools or education settings (essential)
Either:
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, or
Significant, recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK secondary schools
A good understanding of the secondary curriculum and classroom expectations
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A proactive, reliable, and professional approach
