Job Description

Objectives of this role:

· Guarantee that the company is getting the best value for money while procuring goods and services from vendors and distributors

· Negotiate contracts and deals with sellers to promote maximum cost-savings in the sourcing and supply chain management system

· Devise and execute procurement strategies that benefit the business in the best way

· Adhere to applicable legal frameworks and regulations while striking deals with distributors and vendor

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:

* Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
* Develop category management strategies for key spend areas, including cost reduction initiatives.
* Lead supplier selection process through RFPs, negotiations, and contract management.
* Analyse spend data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and value improvement.

Supplier Relationship Management:

* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring ongoing performance and alignment with business goals.
* Collaborate with suppliers on innovation, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
* Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any issues promptly.

Procurement Strategy Development:

* Define and implement a long-term procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
* Develop procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with sourcing and supplier relationships.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

* Work closely with internal stakeholders across different departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
* Communicate procurement strategy and goals to key decision-makers.
* Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory management and delivery timelines.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

* Analyse procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
* Generate reports on procurement performance, including cost savings achieved and supplier compliance.
* Utilize data analytics tools to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
* Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
* Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies
* Deep understanding of market dynamics and supplier landscape
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience with procurement systems and tools
* Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
