We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Portfolio Implementation Analyst
You’ll be part of a small dynamic team that manages all the Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) accounts for HSBC UK Wealth, you’ll be working in a regulated role but not directly client facing. You’ll execute investment transactions and be collaborating with UK Wealth’s client-facing teams (sales managers). You’ll ensure we understand exactly the customer’s needs and how the process and technology that underlies our DPM service will deliver to those needs.
As this is a regulated role you’ll be required to study and successfully pass the relevant professional exam (IMC). Whilst most of your study will be independent, you will be supported with high quality training and the level of responsibility of decision making across customer portfolios will increase in line with your level of knowledge and experience.

In this role you’ll:
* Manage and prioritise actions for client-driven portfolio activity within a dedicated workflow management system
* Take ownership of queries, providing guidance yourself or seeking specialist input from Subject Matter Experts
* Assist with the management and status monitoring of customer portfolios and ensure that any client issues are identified and resolved thoroughly
* Use specialist systems that apply complex algorithms to customer portfolios and ensure data quality and comprehensive controls are maintained
* Build effect relationships with colleagues in other areas including with client facing teams (sales, wealth managers) and other back office / operations teams
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
* Have an awareness about investments, or investment operations, or other wealth-oriented financial services environments and have a genuine interest in investment markets
* Have a good data analysis capability and be used to working with various forms of data
* Demonstrate an attitude of curiosity and have a willingness to ask questions and investigate things that appear ‘out of place’
* Possess good stakeholder management skills and be confident in seeking answers to questions across a varied internal audience
* Be resilient under pressure and have the ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities and deadlines
