Specialist School (Meldreth: Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border)
Full-time | PermanentSalary: £32,916 - £49,232 (M1-UPS2) + £5,000 Welcome BonusHours: 40 per week

The school is recognised for its inclusive approach, outstanding facilities including a Hydrotherapy Pool and extensive outdoor learning area and its on-site multidisciplinary therapeutic team who work closely with class staff to deliver a child-centred curriculum.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, engaging and meaningful learning experiences, adapted to meet the individual needs of students with complex learning profiles. You will contribute to a fully personalised curriculum designed to stretch, challenge and inspire every learner.
Working alongside class leaders, therapists and support staff, you will help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where students can thrive and prepare for adulthood.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality, tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs.
* Foster an engaging, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Work collaboratively with therapists, class leaders and other professionals.
* Contribute to curriculum development to ensure it meets diverse learner needs.
* Lead and manage classroom support staff effectively.
* Assess, track and report on pupil progress with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines where required.
What We’re Looking For
* PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential)
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Strong understanding of the Teacher Standards.
* Experience or knowledge of SEN, especially sensory-led and complex-needs curriculums.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to lead, guide and support other adults in the classroom.
* Reflective, resilient and dedicated to improving outcomes for young people.
