You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers This is a low and medium secure hospital specialising in treating male patients aged 18 who have been detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 and who will benefit from extended treatment and rehabilitation To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RGN Nurse with an active NMC Pin Experience in NG Feeding & Phlebotomy As the Physical Health Nurse your key duties include: Facilitating physical healthcare plans/ treatments to patient&x2019;s, in order to maintain their optimum level of physical well-being Facilitate/support staff to ensure that routine and ad hoc tests e.g. blood screening for Clozapine/Lithium are carried out as prescribed and the results recorded appropriately within Care notes To facilitate/support that routine testing for long term conditions e.g. asthma, diabetes, are carried out as prescribed and that the results are recorded appropriately in Care notes and in line with latest national guidance Lead the development and review of all care plans for physical health, to ensure that patient&x2019;s physical health needs have clear interventions, which are being met You will be supporting the clinical team on the ward and covering staff when required Ensure that all patients have their ECG&x2019;s as prescribed by the Consultant and evidence is documented on Care notes The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: Minimum of 2 or 3 years post registration experience Experience of training others An understanding of eating disorders and mental health Experience of working with young people is desirable The successful Physical Health Nurse will receive an excellent salary up to £37,500 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working Mon-Fri from 9am-5pm.
