Derby Homes are looking to recruit a motivated and practical individual to join our Housing Management team as a Parkland View Coordinator at Parkland View Extra Care Scheme.
This is a hands-on role where you will provide direct support to residents to help maintain safe, clean and well-managed homes. You will play a key part in supporting residents through property preparation processes linked to specialist cleaning and pest control treatments, helping to ensure these are carried out effectively.
Many of our residents are older or may need additional support, so this role requires someone who is patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships while offering practical assistance.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting residents to prepare their homes ahead of scheduled treatment works moving light furniture, clearing items, lifting rugs).
2. Providing reminders and reassurance to residents about upcoming visits and required actions.
3. Assisting with initial post-treatment tasks such as laundry and general reset of living spaces.
4. Carrying out follow-up visits to check progress and reinforce guidance.
5. Monitoring properties for early signs of issues and reporting concerns promptly.
6. Complying with risk assessments and safe working practices.
7. Working closely with housing teams and contractors to ensure a coordinated approach.
About you:
8. You are practical and willing to take a hands-on approach.
9. You have good communication skills and can work sensitively with a diverse range of residents.
10. You are organised and able to manage your time across multiple visits.
11. You can work independently as well as part of a wider team.
12. Experience of working in housing, support, care or a similar environment would be an advantage.
