Why join us? As Finance Manager you’ll play a pivotal role at the heart of one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes. You’ll be a trusted financial leader, shaping decisions through insightful management information and robust financial control, while working closely with senior stakeholders across the alliance. As a key member of the @one Senior Leadership Team, you’ll provide frontline financial support to delivery routes, influence strategic outcomes, and help drive performance across complex, high-value projects. What you’ll be doing: Provide high-quality financial and management information to support day-to-day and strategic decision-making across the @one Alliance. Lead project financial management and control, including forecasting, cost reporting and monthly performance packs in line with alliance governance. Act as a key member of the @one Senior Leadership Team, providing frontline financial support to delivery routes. Own month-end project analysis, performance metrics and risk & opportunity reporting. Ensure strong financial governance, leading self-assurance processes across the alliance. Maintain robust financial controls, including accrual reviews and compliance activities. Support and upskill non-financial stakeholders across the alliance. Drive accurate cost reporting, cost analytics and insight to support cost-base reduction. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including automated reporting and transformation activity. Develop and deliver “White Book” savings to meet shareholder expectations. What you’ll bring: ✅ A professional finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA). ✅ Strong experience in commercial or management accounting roles. ✅ Excellent financial forecasting, modelling and analytical skills. ✅ Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems). ✅ The confidence to challenge operational management at all levels. ✅ A flexible, resilient approach with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines. ✅ Strong people management skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset. ✅ Experience in utilities and/or contract accounting (desirable but not essential).
