Toolroom Team Leader
Location: Worcester
Salary: Up to £37,635.00 (DOE) - Plus 16% PM Shift Allowance £3010.80 - Plus Attendance Allowance
Orion is working with a leading heavy industrial manufacturing company seeking an experienced Toolroom Team Leader to provide technical expertise, leadership, and support within their busy toolroom.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong machining knowledge who thrives on problem-solving, motivating a team, and ensuring production efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of Toolmakers
* Maintain CNC and die casting machinery (or similar industrial equipment)
* Provide support to production, ensuring minimal downtime
* Drive continuous improvement in tooling and fixtures
* Fault-find and resolve issues in compact machinery
* Collaborate with senior management on toolroom operations
Required Experience
* Manual machining: turning, milling, grinding, bench fitting
* Previous toolroom experience within manufacturing
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
* Apprentice trained or time-served Toolmaker
* Demonstrable experience leading within a manufacturing environment
Package
* Attendance allowance: £1,000 per year - Paid Quarterly.
* Holidays: 26 days plus Bank Holidays
* Benefits: Pension contribution, Death in Service cover
* Shifts: Double Days – 6am–2pm & 2pm–10pm
