We are looking for an experienced plasterer to join our team in Eastbourne. Working with Lewes and Eastbourne Councils on a variety of residential works, including occupied, void properties, and communal areas, our team produces work to the highest standards and delivers outstanding customer service.
All aspects of plaster repairs are covered, from minor patch repairs to entire room replastering. This includes removal, patching, boarding, over-boarding, thermal boarding, and plastering.
This role also involves external works, such as sand and cement renders.
Ensure that the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with service users, clients, and both internal/external stakeholders. This includes appearance, company ID, condition of vehicles, and maintaining high standards of Health & Safety. It may be necessary to obtain customer feedback upon completion of works if requested.
Process all activities electronically using a handheld device (PDA). This includes, but is not limited to, worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence of works before/during/after, van stock replenishment, booking annual leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risk assessments, and method statements.
Role Criteria:
* Able to complete a clean job
* Good knowledge of all plastering backgrounds, including damp issues
* Experience with hacking off, bonding, multi-finish, dot and dab, ceilings, working safely around textured surfaces, and damp proofing
* UK full driving licence
* Provide own hand tools
All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work in the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their licence for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
All roles are subject to relevant DBS/security checks before employment commences.
