About ICO
Pfizer’s International Commercial Organization (ICO) plays a pivotal role in enabling the International Vision for Growth, with Marketing as a key catalyst. ICO drives the execution of this vision through three core areas:
* Business performance management, by identifying and accelerating international growth opportunities.
* Capital allocation, as the go‑to team for strategic investment prioritization and resource optimization.
* Marketing transformation, by activating best‑in‑class capabilities and execution engines that turn Pfizer’s marketing vision into reality at scale.
Role Purpose
The ICO Obesity Commercial Vice President is a senior leadership role accountable for delivering category P&L performance across all International markets for Pfizer’s forthcoming Obesity Portfolio. The position reports to the President, International Commercial Office and is responsible for shaping Pfizer’s entry into the Obesity category, defining the long‑term portfolio play across ex‑US international countries, and communicating a global/regional brand strategy that supports capital allocation decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategy and Category Development: Build the obesity category and associated strategy for the International region, including long‑term entry plans through existing or acquired assets and defining the go‑to‑market model (pricing, access, channel) to establish category leadership.
* Execution: Develop and execute category‑leading consumer engagement to support strong consumer awareness, access and Rx compliance, ensuring strategy reflects country needs and dynamics.
* Category Performance Leadership: After launch, lead performance management across international markets, drive forecast accuracy, commercial performance versus targets, and report monthly at the International region Performance meeting.
* Capital Allocation and Investment Decisions: Inform cross‑country and brand‑specific capital allocation using market insights and performance trends, recommending trade‑off proposals to drive short‑ and long‑term goals and P&L value.
* Portfolio and Brand Oversight: Lead the full obesity portfolio, partner with CSI and Global Marketing teams to align clinical development, global marketing strategy, pricing/access strategies, and ensure launch readiness with supply readiness and cross‑functional coordination.
* Cross‑Functional Leadership: Orchestrate collaboration across Marketing, Medical, Finance, Access, Global, and Country teams to deliver aligned business plans, acting as a constructive challenger to ensure ambition, focus, and accountability.
* Thought Partnership and Governance: Serve as a strategic thought partner to Global and Country teams, bringing an obesity lens to cross‑portfolio decision making and international wide priorities.
* Team Leadership and Talent Development: Build and lead a senior marketing team, cultivating a culture of performance, empowerment, and development.
* Customer and Market Insight: Elevate the customer voice and local market needs to influence brand strategy, content design, and launch execution, embedding measurable engagement and metrics into plans.
* Digital & AI Leadership: Lead the integration of digital innovation and AI‑driven solutions across the obesity category to enhance commercial impact and enable modern engagement.
