Tech Connect Group is pleased to have partnered with a leading automotive and environmental engineering business to recruit a Technical Trainer.
Our client is a global leader with family values at its core, specialising in high-quality vehicle manufacturing. This role is a key part of their Human Resources department, focused on ensuring all employees are safe, competent, and compliant with the highest industry standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver induction training for all new starters and existing employees as required.
Conduct on-the-job training and assess competence to ensure safe working practices.
Present training programs in a professional and creative way to enhance the learning experience.
Provide feedback and suggestions to assist with the design and modification of course materials and handouts.
Ensure all training reflects changes in standard operating procedures, work instructions, and Health and Safety guidelines.
Lead meetings with other departments to gather knowledge and improve training outcomes.
Assist in delivering bespoke training requirements requested across the production floor.
Oversee and audit performance reviews led by Production Coordinators.
Collate accurate training documentation, reports, and evaluations to support department development.
Maintain training rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and resources are managed.
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge of RCV, HGV, or similar heavy vehicles is essential.
Previous experience in delivering training, coaching, and mentoring.
Proven ability to deliver innovative and engaging training courses.
Ability to teach safe operation and compliance effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for creating manuals and reports.
Full UK driving license and the willingness to travel frequently to other UK sites.
Ability to work in confined spaces and climb over vehicles (cabs, bodies, and hoppers) as part of the practical training.
CIPD Certificate in Training Practice, IOSH, or HGV license (Desirable)
