Rockstar Games seeks a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join the Cfx.re creator platforms, including FiveM and RedM. You will work on core services powering these platforms, focusing on quality, scalability, and complex project development.
This is a full-time, permanent, in-office position based at Rockstar’s studio in London.
What We Do
* Build FiveM and RedM, platforms enabling community-created content on dedicated servers with scripting capabilities.
* Create tools and solutions to enhance creator experience and empower community content creation.
* Develop online services supporting features like server discovery, player authentication, and content management.
Responsibilities
* Develop scalable server-side features using various technology stacks.
* Design and improve platform features and architecture.
* Troubleshoot issues, optimize code, and enhance system stability.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate services seamlessly.
* Build reliable distributed server systems.
* Work with global Rockstar technology teams.
Qualifications
* Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
* 4+ years of software engineering experience.
Skills
* Strong proficiency in GO.
* Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
* API design and development experience.
* Knowledge of web service scalability, performance, and security.
* Understanding of Agile development practices.
Pluses
* Experience with game or platform development.
* Optimizing complex programs.
* Knowledge of JavaScript or C#.
* Passion for games and curiosity about technology.
* Interest in creating tools and engaging with user communities.
* Knowledge of Rockstar’s titles and the modding community.
