The Radio Engineer Role: Our Radio Engineers operate within our technical support team and play a fundamental role within the organisation. Daily tasks will include supporting the company’s sales team and our diverse customer base that ranges from small businesses to large global organisations. The post will encompass the full delivery of radio communication, body worn cameras, along with other complimentary security and technology products across our portfolio of solutions. This will incorporate supporting sales team colleagues at initial enquiry stage and with equipment demonstrations, delivery of products and services, and ongoing maintenance and support post commissioning. In addition to b2b sales, 2CL also provide short term hire systems and support services to large festivals, sporting events, stadiums and entertainment venues, which will require an element of flexible working during the week and weekends. The role will include installation, maintenance, and support of 2CL’s full product portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding business offering customers off the shelf and bespoke communications, security, and threat detection systems. Radio Engineer Responsibilities * Initial site surveys / preventative maintenance inspections (PMI) * Documenting results & producing reports for site surveys & PMI Reports * Assisting sales staff with technical quotes & product support * Design, build, Factory Acceptance Testing, installation & commissioning of new systems * Documenting system notes post installation * First line support to customers – remote technical support (Phone / PC) * Servicing and routine maintenance of customers equipment * Bench repairs – customer & owned assets * Equipment configuration – all technologies * Installations – static & mobile * Provide on-site technical support at events (including weekends and Bank Holidays) * Join the call out rota to provide 24hr 365 day call out support for contract customers * Ability to provide fault diagnostics and rectification testing * Ability to rectify any faults found * Completing works on time * Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skill sets * Desire to learning and undergo continual professional development Requirements: A broad experience and detailed knowledge of the following is desired: * Knowledge of the following manufacturers’ equipment would be an advantage:Motorola, Hytera, Icom, Kirisun, Caltta * Manual handling will be required for moving equipment * Ability to work with other engineers, to deliver integrated solutions across our portfolio of suppliers * Background in engineering or installation essential * Knowledge and experience working with RF devices * Fundamental IT network knowledge desirable * DBS check will be required, ideal if you already have it * Full UK driving licence * Right to work in the UK * Out of hours working across events, offset by time in lieu or overtime as agreed * Travel throughout the UK as required Detail and Benefits Reports to: Service Manager Term: Full-Time Probation: 6 months from start date Salary: £35,000 to $40,000, depending on experience Extras: Group Death-In-Service Scheme; Company Pension Car Fuel Card Leave: 23 days p.a. plus statutory bank holidays Location: 2CL Head Office (Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 4NU) or Manchester Office Start Date: ASA
