Must be flexible to work weekends when required.ResponsibilitiesExtensive knowledge of plant mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a strong understanding of P&IDs, electrical one line / multiline and other technical drawings.Progressive and engrained approach to safety and environmental regulations, especially in relation to the implementation of safe working practices to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations to improve standards onsite where appropriate.Point of contact for all things safety (Lockout / Tagout (LOTO)) in addition to regular site analysis, work authorisations, confined space and hot work permits.Represent the client in relation to site protective measures identified on the permit to ensure standards are met prior to authorisation of work scopes.Issuing of tag & locks for all personnelLog daily reports with accurate documentation pertaining to locks and permits (open & closed) as well as ensuring the placement and removal from designated equipment and systems.Timely, efficient and accurate reporting to Lead Engineers, Commissioning Managers and Head of CommissioningRequirements3+ years’ experience in HSE & LOTO processes of power stationsNEBOSH / IOSH / SMSTS (Preferred)HND/HNC in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringInclusive approach to working environmentStrong Communication skills both internal and externalCritical thinking skills & problem-solving skillsAuthorisation to 66kv
