We are currently looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our team in Chichester, offering exciting opportunities for training and personal growth. This role is ideal for someone interested in moving into payroll or a recent school leaver.
The Payroll Assistant should possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, good time management, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Due to the sensitive nature of the role, the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and ensure data integrity is essential.
You will provide accurate payroll services to over 1,200 clients across various industries, meeting agreed deadlines. There will be opportunities to support projects that improve efficiency and value. Building trusted relationships with clients and taking responsibility for your work are key expectations.
Responsibilities include:
* Raising quarterly fees for additional work
* Handling client monthly data requests
* Reviewing client data for completeness
* Processing weekly/monthly payroll
* Responding to basic payroll inquiries via email
* Completing weekly timesheets accurately
* Participating in team meetings
* Completing administrative tasks as required
* Meeting Payroll team KPIs
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
* A-C grades in A Levels (desirable)
* A methodical work approach
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Managing competing priorities effectively
* Proactively seeking help when needed
