Salary: up to £35,000 (Depending on experience)
Job Summary
Portfolio Payroll are currently working with an established successful business in the Hartlepool area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join their team. They provide an excellent working environment, work from home opportunity and a flexible working environment.
Key Duties/Tasks:

Technical skills including Payroll System experience & excel skills
You will get an opportunity to work on the client payroll
Driving deadlines and check payroll of the more junior team members
Support the busy payroll department high volume starters and leavers
Experience dealing with multiple payrolls of varying shift patterns
Must have very strong Excel (VLookUps/Pivot Tables)
High volume, fast paced
Using Brightpay payroll system
Collaborating with other departments such as accounts and bookkeeping
Provide comprehensive advice to employees in relation to payroll queries
Ensuring all necessary payments are made within the deadlines set, for example Reconciliations.
Opportunity to get involved with significant payroll projects such as implementations in future
Making key decisions in the payroll department
Desirable skills and attributes:
3+ years payroll experience ideally
Previous payroll experience in a fast paced and high-volume payroll environment
Bureau/client payroll experience ideally
A keen eye for detail
Enjoy working within a team
Motivated to progress to management
Supervisory experience advantageous
Excellent communicator as you will be answering queries with clients
Confident with Excel
Brightpay payroll system experience essential
CIPP advantageous not essential

Normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week, 9:00am to 5.30pm with 1-hour unpaid break.
