Commercial & Block Management Property Manager
Ref: 4764 | Permanent | Nottingham | South Nottingham | Full Time Hours with 1 in 5 Saturdays
Up to £30,000 (dependent on experience).
Harper Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a successful property business based in South Nottingham. An exciting opportunity for a motivated Property Manager to join their team, where you will help manage commercial stock & residential blocks.
Key Responsibilities
* Commercial Management: Handle day‑to‑day enquiries from tenants, landlords and contractors; arrange and manage repairs; follow up on maintenance; carry out inspections and complete reports; and report issues.
* Accounts Support: Work with accounts to manage rent arrears, recover payments and assist with insurance claims.
* Leases & Tenancies: Support rent reviews, lease renewals and end‑of‑tenancy arrangements.
* Commercial Agency: Prepare marketing details; respond to enquiries; arrange and carry out viewings; follow up with applicants and provide feedback; assist with negotiations and progressing deals; complete referencing checks and prepare lease agreements; record property condition with photos.
* Block Management: Help manage residential blocks and communal areas; coordinate maintenance and repairs; liaise with leaseholders, tenants, contractors and clients; support service charge processes; carry out inspections and help ensure buildings are safe and compliant.
* Communal Areas Oversight: Oversee shared spaces in mixed‑managed buildings; arrange cleaning, maintenance and repairs; act as a contact for communal issues.
* Professional Development: Take part in training and development; attend team meetings and supervision; work towards ongoing professional growth.
What we’re looking for
* Knowledge & Experience: A strong interest in property or property management, with some administrative or customer service experience. Experience in property, lettings, estate agency, or exposure to commercial or block management would be an advantage.
* Skills & Ability: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a proactive problem‑solving approach with good attention to detail. Able to build relationships.
* Qualifications & Training: Property‑related qualifications (such as ARLA, IRPM or RICS), or working towards them, would be beneficial.
* Other Requirements: Full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
