You will bridge the gap between business objectives and technology solutions within an organization. You will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, as well as facilitating communication and collaboration between various stakeholders at all levels of the company.
You will lead and guide Business Analysts and Junior Business Analysts.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
* Experience as a Senior Business Analyst or similar role before;
* Can provide advice, guidance and expertise to promote adoption to business/stakeholders of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards;
* Has planned and scoped, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large, complex initiatives;
* Has in-depth knowledge of a broad range of industry-wide modelling techniques. Advises on the choice of techniques and approaches and influences customers accordingly.
How will I spend my time in this role?
* Business process improvement: You help identify opportunities for process improvement within an organization. By analyzing existing workflows, systems, and procedures, they can identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization. Working closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and propose solutions that align with strategic objectives and/or when there is significant ambiguity and complexity;
* Requirement gathering and analysis: You are responsible for eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business requirements for new initiatives, projects, or system enhancements which support the overall business goals. You conduct interviews, workshops, and/or surveys to gather information from stakeholders, ensuring that the proposed solutions meet their needs. You also assess the feasibility and impact of proposed changes on existing processes and systems and develop bespoke models suitable for complex initiatives;
* Solution evaluation and recommendation: After gathering requirements, you evaluate potential solutions and technologies that can address business needs. You conduct research, perform cost-benefit analyses, and assess risks to determine the most suitable options and drives the business case forward. You provide recommendations to management or project teams based on their analysis, helping them make informed decisions;
* Stakeholder management: Senior Business Analysts act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and other relevant departments. You facilitate communication, manage expectations, and ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of project objectives and requirements. You also play a crucial role in managing conflicts, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships among stakeholders. Engages and collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including those at all strategic/management levels;
* Change management: Implementing new systems or processes often requires significant changes within an organization. You help manage these changes by assisting with training, user adoption, and communication plans. You collaborate with business stakeholders to develop strategies that minimize resistance and ensure smooth transitions and appropriate knowledge transfer has been adopted by both IT and the business.
* Project management support: You often work closely with project managers, providing valuable input and support throughout the project lifecycle. You assist with project planning, risk assessment, and monitoring project progress. You also participate in testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance activities to ensure that deliverables meet the defined requirements.
* Business Analysis support: You will implement methods and tools at programme, project and team levels including selection and tailoring in line with agreed standards as well as supporting the Business Analyst community in the selection, use of and development of those tools. Shares ideas and examples of existing practices. Implements knowledge management at programme, project and team level. Evaluates and selects appropriate methods and tools in line with agreed policies and standards. Contributes to organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for methods and tools.
