R&D Technician
Talentmark are recruiting for a R&D Technician to join a Carbon coatings manufacturing company at their site based near Sheffield on a full time, permanent basis, for 36.25 hours per week. Salary is flexible, dependent on qualifications and experience, and can be discussed over a call.
The Company:
A leading manufacturer and supplier of coatings for metallurgical industries.
Location:
The R&D Technician
will be based at the company's site near Barnsley, commutable via car, from Sheffield, Penistone, Huddersfield, Leeds, Rotherham and
Thurlstone.
R&D Technician Role:
Your main duties will be:
1. Testing products and raw materials using analytical techniques including XRD, SEM, DSC, TGA and Particle Size Analysis.
2. Assisting other R&D Technicians with formulation development for lubricants and coatings.
3. Carrying out COSHH assessments.
4. Supporting other R&D Technicians during customer trials.
5. Contributing to the maintenance of laboratory areas and equipment.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
6. Minimum level 4 qualification (HNC)
or degree (BSc, MChem, MSci) in Chemistry, Materials Science or similar.
7. Laboratory experience preferred.
8. Full UK Driving Licence for commuting and eventually for customer visits.
