# Support Worker (DL)## Job IntroductionSimpson and Kitchener Day Centres offer a service to older people and people living with a diagnosis of Dementia. The service aims to enhance each person’s quality of life.We have a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic support worker, with a D1 privilege on their licence, to join us and make a meaningful difference. You’ll join our well established, friendly and professional team to create an environment that is welcoming, supportive, inclusive and stimulating to those who attend.**This is a site-based role.****Interviews for this role will be held on 8 October.**Milton Keynes City Council is a modern and friendly place to work. Find out more about working with us here:### Main Responsibility* Driving multi passenger vehicles and completing appropriate paperwork.* Providing meaningful activities that are engaging and stimulating.* Passing on information accurately and concisely to the manager and team leaders.* Assisting with personal care.* Supporting individuals with food and fluid intake.### The Ideal Candidate* D1 privilege on driving licence and experience driving passenger vehicles.* Be approachable, responsive, caring, flexible and patient.* Be organised and self-motivated.* Good communication and time management skills.* Willing to undertake training and learn new skills.* Professional, respectful and understand the importance of confidentiality.* Work well as part of a team as well as working using your own initiative.* Should you be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks an Enhanced DBS will be actioned for you (unless you are on the DBS Update Service).### Package DescriptionIn addition to your salary, we offer a range of benefits including:* Great holiday benefits - most roles include 28 days annual leave every year on top of public (bank) holidays, increasing to 32 days after five years.
