HPDS is one of the fastest growing retail organisations in Scotland.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Business Development Executive to join our forward‑thinking team to help deliver on our strategic priorities. This position is a Full‑Time Permanent post which provides an excellent opportunity to work within a fast‑paced retail organisation committed to providing exceptional customer service.

As a Senior Business Development Executive, you will play a vital role in our operations, be part of the senior management team and be responsible for driving company growth and increasing the profitability of the company. This is both a challenging and rewarding career for individuals with strong analytical skills.


Successful candidate will

* Provide leadership, develop and mentor a high performing team that provides excellent customer service.
* Have knowledge of Plumbing, Heating and Renewable technologies, coming from a similar sales background.
* Be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Understand the needs of our customers and provide an adequate response to these.
* Be determined to succeed with a positive “can‑do” customer focussed attitude.
* Be a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail.


Responsibilities

* Developing and implementing growth strategies, identifying market trends and continually analysing competitive landscapes.
* Researching new markets, partners and products whilst generating and qualifying new leads.
* Growing sales and increasing our customer base on a month‑to‑month basis.
* Overseeing our bids process from preparation to submission.
* Negotiating new and existing terms and contracts, closing deals and meeting sales targets.
* Working closely with the marketing team to ensure that marketing efforts align with overall business goals and company needs.
* Prepare and present reports, forecasts and executive summaries to the senior management team on an ongoing basis.
* Developing proposals, pricing and business cases.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm with a 1‑hour lunch break.
