Job Summary
Senior Night Health Care Assistant working nights 33 hours a week on 11 hour shifts and up to 44 hours when helping to cover holidays. Supporting a team of 5 other great staff over 7 days a week 365 days a year.
This role can vary from quiet periods to busy and demanding times. From simple acts to help residents enjoy their life, for example offering some company and a cup of tea to dealing with incidents, health issues out of hours and end of life care.
This role is around supporting and caring for the staff team as much as the residents to help the Registered Manager continue to build a great place to work and live.

As a Senior Night Health Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily needs of individuals in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
* Hands on role working with residents and staff
* Supporting the staff in their roles
* Help and enable smooth running shifts ensuring all routines are tasks are being completed
* Ensure all staff have sufficient time to complete their responsibilities including any training and their specific duties.
* Organise and run fire drills (6 weekly for all staff minimum)
* Organise and hold staff meetings for night staff and coordinate with Registered Manager
* Supervisions with the night team
Requirements
* Would be required to possess extensive skills and 3 years or more relevant experience within a similar work environment in a supervisory capacity.
* Possessing at least Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care and be conversant with the current Health & Safety regulations
* Professional manner
* Calm under pressure
* Supportive and able to prioritise who requires support
* Ability to multitask
