Eduaction/Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Relevant Degree with Professional Registration
2. Attendance at recent post graduate courses relevant to role
Desirable criteria
3. Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
4. Involvement in special interest groups.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
5. Minimum of 15 months previous experience as a band 5/junior physiotherapist
6. Practical experience working in a broad range of experience in specialist areas of work such as orthopaedics, in-patient elderly care, neurology, respiratory, and musculoskeletal.
7. Previous management of patients following abdominal/ colorectal surgery
8. Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team and or multidisciplinary team.
9. Experience of working on-call
10. Previous experience of audit and/or service development
11. NHS Experience as a qualified therapist
Desirable criteria
12. Previous experience at Band 6 level
13. Experience of managing patients following complex colorectal surgery or experience in oncology
14. Evidence of Leadership Courses /Training
15. Supervision of student or physiotherapy assistants.

16. Demonstrates reflective practice and self directed learning.
17. Able to present information, written and orally, in a clear and logical manner
18. Mentions role and has read the JD clearly

19. Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate.
