Independent Automotive Workshop
We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established independent automotive workshop seeking an experienced Workshop / Site Manager to take full control of the day‑to‑day running of the business.
This is a hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone from the motor trade who enjoys managing people, workflow, and customer experience in a modern, well‑organised environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for the smooth operation of the workshop, acting as the key link between technicians, customers, and front‑of‑house.
Key Responsibilities
* Full workshop control and daily site management
* Managing and supporting a team of 5 technicians
* Loading and planning the workshop to maximise efficiency
* Speaking directly with customers when required
* Supporting the Service Advisor and assisting front‑of‑house operations
* Maintaining high standards of workmanship, productivity, and customer service
About the Business
* Independent workshop with a mixed range of vehicle brands
* Fully digitised systems, using Autowork Online
* Modern processes and organised workflow
* Monday‑Friday operation only — no Saturdays
Hours & Package
* Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
* £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)
* No bonus – stable, guaranteed income
* 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
* Additional Christmas shutdown
About You
* Previous motor trade experience is essential
* Proven background in a supervisory or management role
* Confident managing technicians and workshop workflow
* Comfortable using digital workshop management systems
* Professional, organised, and customer‑focused
