TheGlobalCategory Manager Utilities“GCM”is responsible forexecuting the global utilities category strategy across regions and sites. The rolemanages our global energy portfolio,leadsnational and site levelsourcing events, manages supplier relationships,spendforecasts to support budget setting,deliversavings and ensures contract compliance, whileoperatingwithin defined governance and strategic frameworks, in conjunctionwith ourEnergyManagementService Provider.
Utilities category will consume approximately 80% of therole’stime.
A secondary element to the role(20% oftime)issupporting the Facilities Services category by leading sourcing and contracting projects coveringscopeofhard andsoft Facilities Services. Sub-categories includestakeholder and supplier engagement activitiesacross Air conditioning, HVAC, Mechanical & Engineering,Janitorial Services, Pest Control, Waste Management, Facilities Services, Office supplies
Thisrole reports totheManufacturing and Real EstateGlobal CategoryDirectorand partners closely withGlobal ESG, Facilities, Real Estate, LegalandFinance teams to ensure effective sourcing,risk management,operational continuityandbudget stability across electricity, gas, water,solarand related utilities.
What will you be doing?
Category Execution & Sourcing
1. Develop and executebusiness aligned GlobalUtilities Category Strategy
2. Execute global and regionalsourcing strategies for electricity, gas, water,solarand related utilities
3. Lead RFPs, renegotiations, and contract renewals across assigned regions/ sites
4. Implement pricing models (fixed, flexible, indexed) in line with approved category strategy
5. Ensure correct application of hedging windows
6. Lead renewable sourcing events including REC, green certificates, solar and wind projects
7. Partner with ESG team to deliver credible Scope 2 and decarbonization outcomes
8. Leadsourcingand contracting projects covering scope of hard and soft Facilities Services
Supplier & Contract Management
9. Manage operational relationships with utilities, traders, and energy service providers
10. Monitor supplier performance, pricing accuracy, and contractual compliance
11. Resolve billing, settlement, and service issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Cost & Risk Management
12. Deliversavings, cost avoidance, and budget stability targets
13. Support management of commodity price exposure and regulatory impacts
14. Identifyoperational risks and escalate strategic issues to the CategoryDirector
15. Build market intelligence, analytical capability, and external benchmarkingto share with internal stakeholders
16. Ensure regulatory, contractual, and internal policy compliance across markets
Stakeholder Collaboration
17. Act as the day-to-day procurement partner for global ESG, Facilities, Real Estate,Legaland Finance teams
18. Support budgeting, forecasting, and consumption planning cycles
19. Provide clear commercial input for site expansions, closures, and transitions
Data, Analytics & Reporting
20. Maintain consumption, cost, and contract dataacross global portfolio
21. Support development of dashboards, trackers, and performance reporting
22. Provide market insights and analytics to inform sourcing decisions
What will you need to be successful?
23. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field
24. 8+ years of experience in procurement andminimum3years in utilities category management
25. Solid understanding of electricity and gas markets and pricing mechanisms
26. Experience running multi-country RFPs and contract negotiations
27. Strong analytical, execution, and stakeholder management skills
