About The Role
We are looking to recruit an Occupational Health Technician to join the Manufacturing Support team based in Barton-upon-Humber. Although the role will be based at our Head Office, the successful candidate will be working across all 5 manufacturing sites. The shift pattern will be Monday to Friday, and the working hours will vary.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Undertaking relevant health surveillance activities on site, including audiometry, spirometry, vision testing, hand-arm vibration, lung function and blood pressure monitoring
2. Accurately record and maintain confidential medical information in-line with data protection requirements and company standards
3. Ensuring all testing equipment is regularly checked, cleaned, calibrated and maintained in a safe and serviceable condition
4. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of occupational health legislation, guidance and best practice
5. Working closely with the HR and Health & Safety teams to create personal risk assessments for relevant employees
6. Promoting the occupational health initiative across the business by organising and supporting awareness campaigns and events
7. Undertaking additional tasks as requested such as face fit testing, visual and behavioural observations and isocyanate exposure sample collection
About You
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
8. A good knowledge of ISO standards is desirable, enabling the candidate to carry out management system tasks in accordance with their requirements
9. Good communication skills, both written and verbal
10. IT literate
11. Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees and managers
12. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
13. Flexibility in terms of location and shift pattern is required
14. Professional working proficiency in Polish, Russian, Romanian or Bulgarian is advantageous
15. Driving License is essential
The following courses will be offered to the successful candidate and paid for by Wren (after a waiver has been signed); Occupational Audiometry, Occupational Spirometry Competency, Occupational Vision Testing and Blood Pressure Testing.
