Quality Assurance Manager – Suffolk – Permanent | Mon-Fri 9-5 – £38,000 - £43,000 d.o.e
Are you a quality-driven leader with a passion for food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement? Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to take ownership of technical standards, audit readiness, and customer confidence across their site.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Quality Assurance agenda, ensuring the site operates to BRC, legislative and customer codes of practice, driving a culture of "right first time".
* Manage audits with confidence, taking the lead during customer, retailer, and third-party inspections, and ensuring all internal audit programmes (hygiene, glass, GMP) are delivered to schedule.
* Oversee microbiology, allergen management, swabbing, ATP, water testing and traceability systems, maintaining robust controls and full compliance.
* Manage goods intake verification, reviewing certificates of analysis, assessing raw materials, and approving shipments to guarantee compliance with buying specifications.
* Investigate and resolve complaints, conducting root cause analysis, maintaining accurate records, and delivering timely corrective actions to protect customer trust.
* Collaborate with production teams, ensuring every product is manufactured to specification and that continuous improvement opportunities are identified and delivered.
* Own and maintain quality management systems and documentation, including SAGE 200, to ensure audit readiness every day.
* Provide cover for the Technical Manager when required, acting as a senior point of contact for quality, food safety, and customer requirements.
About you
* Experience in a similar quality or technical role within the food industry is required
