Location: Bearpark, County Durham

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hourly Rate: £13.04

About the Role


Are you creative, compassionate, and passionate about enriching the lives of others? We are seeking an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team at St Aiden's Cottage in Bearpark. In this rewarding role, you will design and deliver a variety of stimulating activities that promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing for our residents.


As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain independence, build confidence, develop new skills, and remain connected to their community. Your creativity and energy will help shape meaningful experiences that enhance quality of life and bring joy to those we support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is full of ideas, and is committed to person-centred care.



Key Responsibilities

* Plan, organise, and lead a wide range of engaging in-house activities such as arts and crafts, baking, music sessions, games, gardening, and reading
* Arrange community outings and events including walks, cafe visits, shopping trips, and social gatherings
* Encourage participation by adapting activities to meet individual abilities, preferences, and care plans
* Support residents in developing confidence, communication skills, and independence-such as budgeting, planning, and accessing the community
* Promote dignity, choice, inclusion, and respect for every individual
* Build positive relationships with residents, families, and the wider team
* Monitor residents' engagement, record progress, and contribute to holistic care planning
* Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and any changes in wellbeing
* Work in line with Health & Safety requirements and safeguarding guidelines
* Ensure all activities are delivered in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment



What We're Looking For

* Experience in a care, support, or activity-based role (preferred but not essential)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate others
* The ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a supportive team
* Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and risk management
* A commitment to upholding the values, ethos, and policies of Careline Lifestyles

Additional Information
