Adept Resourcing are recruiting for a Melter / Furnace Operator on behalf of one of our manufacturing clients.
This is a hands on shop floor role working in a specialist furnace department within a heavy manufacturing environment.
If you're used to working around heat, heavy materials and strict safety procedures, this could be right up your street.
What you'll be doing
You'll be part of a team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of furnace equipment.
Typical duties include:
* Operating and supporting furnace melting processes
* Preparing furnace charges and loading materials
* Handling moulds, ingots, electrodes and crucibles
* Using overhead cranes and forklift trucks
* Supporting mould preparation and furnace cleaning
* Maintaining strict safety, housekeeping and QA standards
* Completing melt records and production documentation
What we're looking for
This is a shop floor role, so we're looking for someone comfortable in a safety critical manufacturing environment.
Good backgrounds include:
1. Steel / metals manufacturing
2. Foundry or casting environments
