Join Our Team as a Temporary Receptionist! - DBS Required

Are you a friendly and professional individual looking to make a difference in a charity setting? Our client is seeking a dedicated Receptionist to provide a warm welcome to visitors and callers at their Kings Cross office in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the face of an organisation that truly cares!

Location: Kings Cross

Hourly Rate: £13.85

Ad Hoc Dates: Mid October - Mid November


About the Role

As the first point of contact, your role will be crucial in ensuring a positive experience for everyone who interacts with our client. You\'ll be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing front-of-house operations. Please note, a current and valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is required for this position.


Key Responsibilities

* Greet and assist visitors in a courteous and professional manner
* Answer and direct incoming calls and emails
* Manage visitor sign-in/out procedures in line with safeguarding policies
* Maintain a tidy and inviting reception area
* Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
* Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and photocopying
* Coordinate room bookings and appointments as needed
* Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times


Requirements

* Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role is preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
* Confident using Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
* Professional, calm, and approachable demeanour
* Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
* Must hold a valid and up-to-date DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one before starting)


Desirable Skills

* Experience working in an educational, healthcare, or social care setting
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
