Property Recovery Solicitor – Manchester – Up to £55,000 Salary
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Recovery Solicitor to join a nationally recognised insurance litigation team in Manchester. This role is ideal for an Associate level lawyer with around 4 years’ post qualification experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic, high performing practice. The team handles a wide range of complex, high value subrogated recovery claims on behalf of major household and commercial insurers, with cases involving fires, floods, escapes of water, structural failures, and product liability.
As an Associate, you will manage your own caseload of litigated recovery matters valued between £10,000 and well over £100,000, running files autonomously from instruction through to settlement or trial. You will be a key member of the team, contributing to strategy, supporting junior fee earners, and engaging with insurer clients. The role is both technical and client facing, offering excellent opportunities for progression and involvement in business development and client training.
The Candidate
* Property Recovery Solicitor with approximately 4 years’ post qualification experience
* Experience of handling litigated commercial or insurance related disputes
* Strong technical skills with an interest in subrogated recoveries
* Commercial awareness and confidence in dealing directly with insurer clients
* Able to supervise more junior colleagues and contribute to team development
* Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills
