Job Purpose Is to facilitate a wide range of HR related activity to support the employee experience whilst ensuring compliance to employment legislation. Key Result Areas Operational Measures Providing timely and accurate advice to support managers with people opportunities or concerns Managing casework, including employee relations, managing sickness absence and all administration associated with cases Quality Standards To ensure all tasks are carried out to a high standard, and in accordance with employment legislation Health & Safety Under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, as an employee, you must take reasonable care for the health & safety of yourself and for other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.The Act also states that you must not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything in the interest of health, safety and welfare.You are also required to make yourself aware of the Companys health and safety policies and to report any accidents/incidents/near misses. Hygiene As an employee you will follow the Company policy by implementing high standards of personal hygiene, following hygiene rules and carrying out responsibilities for cleaning including a clean as you go policy. You have a responsibility under the law to follow Food Hygiene Regulations and you will do this by following our hygiene rules which will ensure the safety and quality of our products. Additionally you will be vigilant and inform management of any illness and other potential hygiene hazards including contravention of hygiene rules and procedures by other members of staff. Accountabilities To provide professional advice to all managers on HR, employment legislation and procedural issues, ensuring that all issues are closed out within appropriate timescales Managing casework to ensure employee relations, such as disciplinary, grievance, flexible working requests, performance, absence issues are managed and implemented effectively. Analytical experience, role will include weekly and monthly HR Reporting Support the HR Advisor/HR Business Partner with ad hoc projects Maintaining all data in SAP, letter writing, filing, and any administration tasks as required Understand the business/site issues, priorities and key drivers and the effect on the business To review and action functional/operations KPIs that measure and monitor the effectiveness of the HR strategy to improve peoples work experience and performance Updating HR policies in line with up and coming employment law changes. Ensure managers buy into the people issues within their respective areas and manage accordingly To manage maternity, retirement, and all other relative processes Present training to managers on a range of HR related topics Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices The above list highlights the key accountabilities of the role; however, it should be noted that the above list is not exhaustive, and others may be added/required depending on the needs of the business. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Previous HR experience is essential with a good knowledge of employment legislation Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written skills IT knowledge (SAP, Microsoft Office etc) and an understanding of HR systems Strong attention to detail Organisation and multitasking skills A focus on quality being commercially and customer aware Respect for and able to manage confidential/sensitive information HR Qualification desirable but not essential Competencies Knowledge of employment law Positive can do attitude Quality first approach whilst being commercially and customer aware Able to remain calm under pressure Ability to manage change
