Rate: £18 per hour (Umbrella)

Are you passionate about empowering children and young people to shape the services that affect their lives?
We’re looking for a Voice and Influence Worker to join a dynamic team in Rotherham. This is a 3+ month contract, working full-time from the office, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the voices of children in care and care leavers are heard, respected, and acted upon.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate inclusive group work and 1:1 sessions that help children express their views.
* Advocate for Children in Care and Care Leavers, ensuring their voices influence decisions.
* Lead youth-led initiatives such as the Youth Cabinet, Young Inspectors, and consultation events.
* Support co-production of policies, campaigns, and strategies with young people.
* Represent childrens voices in senior forums, including the Corporate Parenting Partnership Board.
* Build strong relationships with professionals, parents, and carers to embed the voice of the child in planning and service delivery.
* Promote awareness of youth-led campaigns at local, regional, and national levels.
* Maintain accurate records and manage budgets in line with RMBC policy.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience as a Family Support Worker or similar role working directly with children and families.
* Confidence in planning, risk assessment, and facilitating group work.
* Strong understanding of advocacy, co-production, and inclusive practice.
* Creativity in capturing and presenting children's views.
* A genuine passion for improving outcomes for looked-after children and young people.
