Planner – Water Quality Based in Leeds with agile and home-working opportunities, we are looking to recruit a Planner within Flow & Water Quality Monitoring. The purpose of this role is to support the Water Quality Monitoring department by creating comprehensive work packages for field crews, coordinating site access, and managing incoming site data to ensure inspections and installations are delivered safely, legally and efficiently. The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to): Our successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including, but not limited to the following: Identify and prioritise sites for inspection and installation by field crews using client-provided data, MapInfo (GIS software), Land Registry information, Flood Risk Maps and Google Maps Assess site suitability and access requirements for the installation of field-based monitoring equipment Liaise with landowners and business owners to arrange site access and obtain required permissions Generate Land Entry Notices (LENS) in MapInfo using information from site investigations and Land Registry records Coordinate with field crews to resolve site access issues, provide supporting information and ensure efficient scheduling Develop daily and weekly work plans for field crews using Teamleaf, ensuring all access permissions and legal requirements are in place Manage incoming site data including paperwork, electronic site sheets and photographic records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date datasets Prepare reports and provide performance insights on crews and contracts as required Support the continuous improvement of planning procedures and processes within Teamleaf Liaise with external clients to ensure effective coordination and service delivery To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate: Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages (Essential) Previous experience in a planning, scheduling or coordination role (Essential) Experience scheduling work for field-based teams (Essential) Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks (Essential) Working knowledge of MapInfo or other GIS-based software (Desirable) Ability to adapt quickly to bespoke systems such as Teamleaf (Desirable) Knowledge of NRSWA / Street Works (Desirable) Strong communication skills when liaising with landowners, clients and field crews About SOCOTEC Flow & Water Quality Monitoring We provide market leading environmental data collection and monitoring services.
