Job Title: Senior Bid Writer / Bid Manager

Location: Bracknell (3 days in the office, 2 remote) candidates in Hemel Hempstead or Swanley considered
Are you an experienced Bid Manager or Senior Bid Writer with a strong track record in construction or social housing?
Were looking for a strategic and creative professional to write, manage, and lead high-value bids and tenders that help us win major contracts in the social housing and refurbishment sector.
Youll also lead a small but talented bid team, ensuring consistency, compliance, and winning outcomes.
What You'll Do :
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing bid team
Write and manage winning bids and tenders from start to finish
Design and implement bid strategies for construction and social housing projects
Collaborate closely with Business Development, Operations, and other stakeholders
Drive process improvements and ensure compliance and consistency
Analyse win/loss feedback to improve bid success continually
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience writing and managing successful bids in the construction or social housing sector (essential)
Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop a team
Excellent understanding of UK procurement regulations and processes
Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills
Proactive, solution-focused approach and attention to detail
Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours for deadlines
Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable, but not essential:
Degree-level education or equivalent
