We’re looking for a Curriculum Advisory Teacher KS1-KS5 to play a leading role in influencing and shaping the development of high-quality curriculum across all schools in Derby.

Please note that this is an 18-month Fixed Term Contract.

The Opportunity
In the role of Curriculum Advisory Teacher KS1-KS5, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
• Management and the delivery of the RE curriculum and networks and support the delivery of the Standing Committee for religious Education (SCARE) committee chair and workplan
• Champion and drive a resilience based Personal Health and Social Education (PHSE) curriculum, forum, delivering workshops, training and seminars to curriculum leads and education setting staff
• Coordinate the development of an industry led curriculum for STEM, Digital and Artificial Intelligence as part of the Derby Promise.
• To support schools in reviewing and evaluating their curriculum and, where appropriate, establish an agreed programme of support
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have…
• Successful senior leadership experience in schools for curriculum
• Demonstrable achievement in leading, managing and sustaining school curriculum improvement and outcomes for pupils
• Understanding of current educational context and factors affecting school accountability
• Knowledge and understanding of school governance
• Educated to degree level or an equivalent level of experience
