Make a tangible impact: As the Key Account Manager you will be responsible for selling, managing key stockholder accounts and lead projects aimed at delivering our business objectives. You will support the sales team through target setting, planning, tracking and any other support required by the Sales Manager. You will be required to measure account performance against plan for key customers and ensure profitable sales volumes and strategic objectives are achieved. As part of this role you will also need to: Negotiate and implement sales contracts with customers covering prices, volumes and service level agreements, in line with targets and business capabilities. Lead the business development activities within the sales team and coach others members of the team to achieve our growth targets Establish and manage productive, professional relationships with customers Conduct customer visits Lead the development of solutions that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary expertise throughout Tata Steel Distribution UK&I. We see your potential: To be successful as a Key Account Manager you will need significant knowledge of the steel industry, have strong negotiation skills and excel in building customer relationships. You will need a good understanding of activities in other functions of the business such as operations, transport and supply chain. For this role it is also required to have: Skills in managing deadlines, timetables, and different priorities. Good negotiation, networking and influencing skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels Ability to represent the business externally and act as a company ambassador.
