Position Summary
Division D is seeking an outstanding operational manager to join the Division as a Deputy Operations Manager (2 posts, one is substantive and another is fixed term for 1 year) covering Cardiology and Clinical Genetics. This pivotal role focuses on delivering recovery plans for RTT targets, DMO1 diagnostic targets, improvements in length of stay and ED performance, and delivering key objectives and targets for the services and Division. The post holder will work with partner organisations and the ICB, contribute to strategic and annual business planning, coordinate the planning, development and implementation of service improvement, capital and other projects, administer clinical governance processes, assist in risk management and provide cross cover within the Division as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver recovery plans for RTT targets, DMO1 diagnostic targets, improvements in length of stay and ED performance.
* Work with partner organisations and the ICB to achieve objectives and targets.
* Contribute to strategic and annual business planning for services and engage senior medical and other staff.
* Coordinate the planning, development and implementation of service improvement, capital and other projects.
* Administer clinical governance processes within areas of responsibility.
* Assist in risk management and provide cross cover within the Division.
* Demonstrate excellent prioritisation skills, problem‑solving, collaborative approach, and resilience under pressure.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in management and leadership of clinical services.
* Proven experience of working operationally in the NHS.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
