The Responsibilities
The role's primary purpose is to provide a robust accounting service to the business owners, ensuring that financial controls are effective and appropriate. Responsibilities include month-end duties, ad hoc reporting, and analysis.
Daily responsibilities include:
* Managing the company's cash flow and ensuring debt is effectively managed.
* Reviewing current transaction recording processes and implementing financial controls to prevent unrecorded transactions.
* Preparing and distributing monthly financial statements.
* Overseeing the audit process and working closely with the Finance Director to manage external stakeholder relationships.
* Managing daily accounting operations, including management of the purchase ledger, sales ledger, general ledger, inventory, and revenue recognition.
* Supervising the accounts team in the absence of the Finance Director.
The Requirements
