Our client is a successful and established manufacturing company based in the Poole area and they have a new opportunity for a Finance Assistant with a bias towards accounts receivable.
Reporting to a Group Management Accountant you will have responsibility for:
* Cash posting and allocating remittances
* Requesting payment
* Sending invoices and requesting debit notes
* Checking returns against credit notes
* Identifying transactions that need investigation
* Creating and sending monthly statements
* Intercompany re-charges
* Bank reconciliations
* Monitoring shared email boxes
* Cover within the finance dept
* Assisting with month end and year end work
* Ad hoc duties
You will need to have previous general accounts experience, particularly in accounts receivable or payables experience and experience of customer website portals/marketplaces would be a distinct advantage. You will also need to be a team player, have strong attention to detail and happy to take responsibility. Knowledge of Excel and good data entry skills are also needed.
