OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
ABM are looking to recruit a Cleaning Operative for a high-profile client in a prestigious Apartment complex in Manchester City Centre. As a Cleaning Operative you will assist the Supervisor and Team Leader in maintaining the day-to-day cleaning operations of the contract, ensuring the highest standards at all times whilst working in line with company policies and procedures. The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and be able to work as part of a team in a physically demanding, fast paced environment that provides janitorial and waste removal services for the client. Our teams consist of ambitious and motivated people who contribute to making a fun and friendly working environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Working within our great janitorial and waste removal team in a luxury residential environment, carrying out duties effectively and efficiently.
2. Perform general cleaning duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
3. Ensuring that all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in a safe working order.
4. Responsive to any spillages and callouts from the clients on site team.
5. Communicate effectively with your team, line manager and the client – we all work together.
6. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and common areas.
7. Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
8. Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures.
9. Restock cleaning supplies as required.
10. Report any cleaning equipment malfunctions or damages immediately.
11. Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
12. Full training will be provided.
Essential Requirements:
13. Knowledge of health and safety requirements or a willingness to learn.
14. Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn.
15. High attention to detail.
16. An ability to work under pressure.
17. Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
18. An ability to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment.
19. A reliable and flexible approach to work.
20. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
21. This is an active role that requires you to be physically fit.
