As a Workshop Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop, focusing on improving customer experience, efficiency, and minimising costs.
Key responsibilities within this Workshop Controller role include:
* Supporting Technicians in the workshop.
* Effective production planning and scheduling, adhering to workshop standards.
* Conducting daily meetings and following up on team KPIs.
* Identifying improvement areas and implementing measures to achieve objectives.
* Pre-checking and following the daily planning for the team.
* Providing first-line support and assistance to the team.
* Coaching and supporting PSTs with technical and administrative issues.
* Coordinating improvement work in the workshop and tracking progress.
Workshop Controller Requirements:
* Previous experience as Workshop Controller preferred.
* Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Understanding of the customer service process, including parts and sales.
* Ability to identify problems at root cause and plan effective solutions.
* Availability for Saturday Rota shifts and flexibility during holiday periods (average 1 in 4).
