Driver Hire Huddersfield are seeking Category C – Class 2 HGV Drivers to join us working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands. A high level of these roles can mature into permanent positions.

We work with a wide variety of prestigious clients, so positions may include but are not limited to:
1. Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
2. Ensure that the vehicle and it’s cargo get to their destination safely.
3. Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
4. Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue day work can be offered.
5. Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence
6. Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
7. Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK
8. Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with doing some lifting and a good demonstration of safe loading.
