Management Accountant
Pembrook Resourcing is currently recruiting on behalf of their client for a Management Accountant to join their group.
Management Accountant Responsibilities
1. Safeguard the company's assets by ensuring the Accounts and Sales Administration teams are competent, understand their responsibilities, and follow procedures and guidelines set by the Group.
2. Work as part of the senior management team to develop strategies, plans, and actions to maximize profitability.
3. Lead and motivate the Accounts and Sales Administration teams.
4. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts.
5. Prepare and submit manufacturer composites to a high standard.
6. Support the Head of Business and Departmental Managers weekly in preparing the DOC forecast for Directors.
7. Monitor and review working capital regularly, ensuring compliance with Group guidelines, with monthly reviews with the Head of Business.
8. Review and approve monthly payment runs for the P&L and Salaries.
9. Assist in preparing annual budgets with the Group Financial Controller.
10. Maintain and administer the DMS system (CDK Drive).
11. Support the Group Payroll Administrator as needed.
12. Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
13. Prepare P11D and other statutory returns for review.
14. Manage audit preparation and the annual audit process.
Management Accountant Requirements
* Ability to lead, motivate, and direct the Accounts and Sales Administration teams.
* Highly competent, preferably a qualified accountant.
* Ability to challenge the status quo, identify waste, reduce costs, and improve performance.
* Must command respect and influence the Senior Management Team to support our goal of delivering industry-leading profitability.
