Job Description
A well-regarded secondary school in Sefton is seeking to appoint a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to support across a range of subjects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff.
The Role
• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
• Deliver pre-set lessons and ensure students remain on task
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
• Support students with their learning and respond to any questions where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
• Has previous experience working within a school setting (essential)
• Is confident managing behaviour and leading a classroom independently
• Has strong communication and organisational skills
Requirements
• Minimum of 6 months’ school-based experience (essential)
• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
